i belong in an erp team, and i am the only one who's unfamiliar with erp because i am not given tasks related to erp or accounting unlike my co-trainee. we had a meeting last friday about accounting basics. while i have some knowledge in basic accounting since i attended business highschool, i was unable to relate well with the meeting because they were using accounting terms in erp terms. it was a long meeting and i could only grasp the discussion when they're not using erp terms. in the first place i was not really a part of the meeting but my co-trainee asked if i should join them, hence i was invited. in any case i felt that joining the meeting did have an advantage, i got to be placed near my team members which didn't happen too often (it's the first that exceeds 4 hours), and i felt that i have gotten a lot used to their circle. my other two newly hired teammates (not trainees like us) even treated us lunch at super bowl.
